In the village of Scheffau, you will find high perched at a height of 1,650 metres the “KaiserWelt” adventure park for young visitors, including a trampoline, swings, a small cable car, a games’ world, crafts rooms and the mystical “Kaiserwald” wood. The little explorers can discover here the innumerable secrets of the wood, conquer treehouses and hunting towers and enjoy climbing and balancing.
A Climb with the Cable Car in Scheffau
The panorama trail on the slopes of “Hartkaiser” mountain, the “Circular Trail”, the “Marmot Circuit” and the “Romantic Path” leading to the Lake “Jochstub´nsee” are only a few routes to which you can get by taking the cable car. Regardless of whether you want to enjoy a walk the idyllic mountain lake, the exploration of the mountains or an assisted sailing trip alone or with your children, it will in any case be a great pleasure.
“Witch’s Water” in Söll and “Hohe Salve” Barefoot Trail
“Abracadabra and Three Times Black Cat”: here you can follow in the footsteps of the witches exploring the “Witch’s Creek”, “Witch’s Wood” and “Witch’s Water”. In the park there are 30 game and health-related stations where you can try out various activities.
You can invigorate and revitalize your tired legs following “Hohe Salve” barefoot trail, the longest in Austria.
Climb to Dizzying Heights with “Hohe Salve” Cable Car
The most popular viewpoint in Tyrol draws numerous visitors with its rotating panorama platform. If you prefer to enjoy the views over the mountain landscape without making the strenuous ascent, you can use “Hopfgarten” and “Söll” cable cars, which also will take you to the highest church and the sanctuary dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
“Ellmau-Going” Cable Cars – “Ellmis Zauberwelt”
The cable car takes you to the summit of “Ellmauer Hartkaiser” mountain, where a magic world awaits the children. “Ellmis Zauberwelt” provides great facilities such as a games park, a wildlife and adventure trail as well as panorama towers and a botanic garden.
“Westendorf” Cable Cars – “Alpinolino Westendorf”
Families can explore together the mountains visiting the Alpine adventure park on the slopes of “Talkaser” mountain (1,770 metres) in Westendorf. You can climb there like a chamois, observe animals or fly like Bert the eagle (flying school).
“Brixen” Cable Cars in Thale-Filzalmsee-Hochbrixen
Indulge yourself with a refreshing swim in Lake “Filzalmsee” (1,300 metres) in Hochbrixen. There are several circular walks with panoramic views to explore the fascinating surroundings of woodlands and Alpine pastures which are home to rare animals and plants. In the wayside mountain inns you are welcome for a rest. “Riesenwald” with its adventure facilities is worth a visit, too. Last but not least, there are hydrotherapy facilities (Kneipp) including moor pools and shallow ponds to wade through.
“Kaiserbad Ellmau” Leisure Centre
Dive in! The popular “Kaiserbad“ leisure centre provides fun and enjoyment for the whole family: an indoor and outdoor pool with great attractions, a paddling pool for toddlers, a swimming pond with diving board, four slides and a children’s playground. You can really enjoy here an amazing bathing experience. However, this is not all. The leisure centre includes indoor tennis courts, a squash hall, a beachvolleyball court, a climbing wall and an extensive relaxation area with sauna, steam room, hydromassage pool, solariums, hydrotherapy pools (Kneipp) and a revitalization centre for the guests who need special care.
